Coinbase introduced the S&P500 to Crypto

Coinbase has introduced the Coinbase 50 Index (COIN50), consisting of the top 50 cryptocurrencies:

Represents the top 50 digital assets listed on Coinbase Exchange
→ Excluding Stablecoins & Privacy Coins, full criteria here.
Covers approximately 80% of the total crypto market capitalization
Uses a market cap-weighted methodology
Rebalances quarterly

Market Tracking

Provides traders a comprehensive view of crypto market performance
Helps investors benchmark their crypto portfolio returns
Builds on Coinbase's three-year index development experience

The futures contract offers traders the opportunity to trade the index with up to 20x leverage.

The crypto market is making big moves, w3.vision is making big moves and tradias is doing it too.

Future of Solana

We are dedicated to supporting the next generation of founders in the blockchain sector. That's why our w3.hub is a popular venue for hackathons.

We hosted the Solana Build Station for the third time this year and witnessed some exciting new projects. The results of the Radar Hackathon were announced this week, and it’s impressive to see how many submissions were received.

👉🏽 No wonder Solana is on everyone's lips - with the number of founders building on it.

It is also particularly cool to see that Germany is in second place in the national superteam comparison of builders.

We would also like to give a shoutout to Janine from our community for her great summary of how the German community became a top hacker nation.

Staking Summit Recap

Our team attended the Staking Summit (by Staking Rewards) in Bangkok on behalf of our infrastructure company, w3.labs, to drive progress in secure and compliant staking.

Today I am sharing with you the alpha that they picked up in Thailand.

The topic of staking became relevant for all crypto players at the latest when Ethereum switched from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake consensus.

Looking at the data, it is clear to see that more and more assets are being staked (this is not only true for $Eth).

Bitcoin Layer 2s are the latest craze. Everyone is talking about them and various implementations are on the way or even already live.

Our team's opinion:

Some of the Bitcoin L2s do not yet seem mature, but some have already attracted large amounts of capital -> this carries a risk.
Bitcoin staking seems to become the first major application of these Bitcoin L2s.

Technology is transforming our Nightlife

Jägermeister is known for creating nightlife experiences. No wonder, they are experimenting with Web3 technologies to innovate further.

At our recent event, we explored how technology is transforming our nightlife and ensuring safety for everyone involved in the experience—from artists and club owners to security teams and you.

Our community had the chance to participate in two insightful panel discussions, where many of you asked the questions that matter most.

Some more Highlights:

🥃 The Jägermeister Bar – with delicious drinks in a beautifully designed space.

🎶 Nusha Rubin’s DJ Set – a really cool performance that kept the energy high.

🎨 The Jägermeister Pix3l Enigma Challenge – where you could claim two different types of tokens, each contributing to revealing a larger artwork.

In the end, participants guessed what the image would reveal (spoiler: our OGs know it’s w3.pizza!). The artwork was also available as a digital token for all attendees of the evening to claim to redeem 1 co-working day at w3.hub!

👏 The winner of the challenge was Carlo, who won two of the special Jägermeister Pantone bottles and this cool Jägermeister crewneck soon available for purchase.
