Next Generation of Use Cases powered by Web3

🎣 w3.catch-of-the-week cw20

GMGM and welcome to the 🎣w3.catch-of-the-week the newsletter that informs you about everything that happens onchain and beyond.

This is another Berlin Blockchain Week Edition to make sure you’re all set for next week. If you’re not in Berlin… Just enjoy the memes 😬

Speaking of…

The “Onchain Summer” awaits its comeback and everyone who builds on Base has the chance to win prizes of 600 ETH 😎.

The official start date of Onchain Summer is June 1st, but if you can't wait until then, you are probably already signed up for the BASEDBERLIN Hackathon.

The BASE team in collaboration with Ledger invites you to develop an exciting app in a Farcaster Frame. The three best onchain experiences will be rewarded with 1500 $USDC each at the end of the day.

If you are not a hacker, you should at least come to the aftershow party aka happy hour to exchange ideas with other based builders over drinks and snacks.

Monday is just the start of an incredibly exciting week, subscribe to our Berlin Blockchain Week calendar to never miss a single event update.

Blockchain 🤝 AI

OpenAI presented its new GPT-4o model this week and used numerous demos to show how artificial intelligence is moving closer to our everyday life.

Alongside AI, blockchain is one of the most exciting technology trends, and on May 23 we want to explore the synergies between these two (what a transition).

As part of the 5th anniversary, our friends from BerChain & Berlin Partner invite you to discuss applications, use cases and future scenarios by combining blockchain and AI.

What you can expect:

  • Keynotes on various use cases

  • Panel on Discovering Data Synergies

  • Panel on Pioneering the Frontiers of Tech-Driven Economies

  • Panel on Exploring Horizons in Society and Tech

  • Open Networking Party

Look forward to speakers from Fetch.ai, Ocean Protocol, Google and more

Berlins Blockchain Community 🤝 Art Scene

Madeleine Pierpont, Web3 associate at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), highlighted “Yes, there has been a hyper-financialization in the NFT space, but money is not a dirty word in art”, in an interview.

JK we love art ✨

She told Coindesk that despite public skepticism, NFTs have had a significant impact on the art world. NFTs provide transparency and direct connections between artists and aficionados, which enriches the art market.

We would like to explore this connection between blockchain and art further at the upcoming ✨On Chain Art Day✨ next Thursday.

What is the On Chain Art Day about?

On Chain Art Day aims to bridge Berlin’s extensive blockchain ecosystem with its vibrant digital art scene. The event is designed to foster mutual knowledge transfer and networking opportunities.
